What We Do: Education

A vital focus area of The Foundation. Even though the government has introduced schemes like Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan (SSA), the implementation of the scheme has pockets of inconsistence. The Foundation through its partnerships ventures to monitor and assess the organizations and their effectiveness. It is the Foundations assessment that certain sections of our society have not yet been able to reap the benefits of these vibrant government policies.

• The girl child. The Foundation is focusing on organizations that emphasize on the education of the girl child in rural areas of backward states like Haryana, Jharkhand, Chhatisgarh etc.
• Neglected migrant labor children who are deprived of all forms of education being constantly on the move as they lack a stable environment and base. The Foundation has identified organizations that focus on providing education to such children, some organizations focus on giving them a base in their hometowns whereby they avoid traveling with their families, while some focus on educating the children in the slums in cities their parents earn their livelihood.
• The Foundation also is in the process of partnering organizations educating slum / street children. The foundation recognizes that this besides educating the children gives them a chance to stay off the streets and a life of drugs, crime and violence.
